boots were made for walking
since my last boots purchase didn't happen, i ended up with a different pair from rubi shoes. i have to say they are very comfy.
i've been wanting a pair of boots like these but didn't think it would be able to find a pair with heels - but i did! :D
they say tights aren't pants and i use to say.... "so what" - until my tee gets caught on it and you can see my panties -_-

gizmo's quick fun in the park
it was such a gloomy cold day today. we were woken up to early (1pm to be exact...not exactly your early but early to us on a weekend!) help EJ to move his TV shelf. just before pumping petrol, we saw this park and thought to drop gizmo for a run around.
days like these remind me of UK. the cold wind, quiet parks, no sun at all.... and giz had a blast. he scooted out of the car, sniffed everything and just ran. it's nice to see him out since he's hardly been out since winter kicked in.
haihz...i miss the days i use to take giz out ever so often and just laze at the park while he runs freely around me...

coffee crazy
we couldn't resist checking out the nespresso boutique since we bought a coffee maker. as a machine owner, you are entitled to purchase a new member offer which includes the 250 capsules and a display box, why not make use of it right? :D
and of course new coffee cups too! (coz our mugs didn't fit into the coffee machine >.<)
our home is coming together bit by bit... it's almost time for the housewarming. how exciting!

we *heart* nerds
lately we've been watching the whole series of The Big Bang Theory (slow i know) and we love it! it's hillarious; who would have thought nerds would be soooo amusing. i think it's also because D & i both think some of the stuff they do is really cool too. we started off with season 2 and couldn't wait to watch season 1 once we got hold of it.
it was damn funny when at episode 1, they were eating indian food and then we felt like eating indian. and when Leonard Leakey Hofstadter walked out with a green star wars light saber.... guess who wanted one too!
so today we went hunting for lightsabers but instead came home with heaps of other stuff for the house. *thank goodness* i think the lightsaber will have to wait for a while since we came home with a brand new Nespresso Coffee Maker!
it came with 16 coffee flavours and a milk frother.... we may not be the biggest coffee drinkers but we definitely enjoy a good cuppa. so peeps, instead of going to a cafe, coffee at our place k? we charge cheap cheap! hahahah and that's not the only think we came home with today.
we had been looking for nice new plates for a while now and since EVERYWHERE is on sale, we couldn't resist. Can you guess which are the new ones?
we thought it was time to change it up a lil, we can also now have more people over for dinner since it's a set of 6 instead of 4.... but wait, that's not it... we bought something new to chase Gizmo around too - saves us lazy people from running.
we are sooooo gonna get fat this winter. hahahaha >.<

bourke street bakery on mitchell street... confuse much?
there is a lovely bakery near the company in Marrickville where we like to pop by for coffee. bourke st bakery is on mitchell street - confusing huh? hahaha that's coz it's this one is a new outpost for these dough-makers.
they serve awesome coffee, it's a nice quiet location and it's also pretty cosy inside. i've been told that their pastries are really good but for lunch today i had a lamb and almond sausage roll and it did taste good. :) the coffee is rich and sweet the way i like mine and the people there are really friendly.
it's a pity they don't open at night, if not it would be a very nice place to yum cha.

a very long, interesting day
the morning started like every other morning - having trouble dragging my butt out of bed while Giz was made little reminders to be fed. having gone to bed really late the night before, i had pulled out what i thought i should wear today (which of course i didn't wear coz i didn't feel like it) and so took up more time this morning to figure out what i FELT like wearing.
*for those who don't know.... my timing is planned to maximise my sleep time, no time for error or i'll be late for work* :D
lilBro was working with me today so he was waiting downstairs at the cafe. as i was driving out of my parking spot, i saw a very grumpy looking lady holding her 2 children and shaking her head. even though i'm not a morning person, i was thinking to myself....."wah need no need ar?" and then i found out why - the stupid garage gate was spoilt and we couldn't leave the carpark!! wahlaus... so how? walked to the cafe, told my lilBro to take a cab to work while i took a train to the city for a meeting :(
the train cost me $8.60, if i was travelling during peak times it would cost me $10.80! damn the private train line then i got lost trying to look for my meeting place. lucky i was early so by the time i found the place it was just in time for the meeting (actually i think i was the last one to arrive ..eekk)
i love carrying a camera around..especially when it's the DSLR. St James is one of those train stations which is damn old school which made it awesome to shoot. ppl were probably thinking i was some weird tourist, never see train station before.
grabbed a cuppa coffee, got the car out of the garage and rushed to work. after rushing things that were urgent, then it was off again to the july campaign photoshoot for the company. clearly cloudly days and google maps don't go hand in hand so we got lost looking for the studio. after passing through the same junction 4 times, we finally found the place by fluke and made it for the final shot of the campaign. i, of course had to take a pic with our model, Stephanie Cherry.
near the studio we saw wickedcamper vans. looks damn cool....
after that it was back to the office and back to work. haihz... gloomy and raining days make it feel like you're working later than you think. actually.... i can tell i'm working late when the lights are off around me -_-
do you realise that the rain makes people drive like morons? it's like when a raindrop hits their windscreen a lightbulb in their head goes *ting* and tells them to "drive like an IDIOT!" i swear, they cause traffic jams, accidents and very annoyed people on the road.
moving on.... we're running out of food at home coz it's been 3-4 weeks since we last went grocery shopping. first it was coz we didn't have the car, then of course we got lazy and now it's WC. so only left with chicken breast in the freezer, i attempted to make chicken chop.
i have to say that it actually jadi-ed. doesn't it look like KFC? hahaha we were happily enjoying our dinner when leanne called asking if we were attending the strata meeting. o_O omg! we completely forgot and this was a very important meeting as it affected all of us. so we dropped everything and rushed to the meeting we were already 1 hour late only to see people start walking out. we were clearly too late. DAMNIT.... so it was back home and back to our unfinished dinner......
so...liking the new blog design? :D
