G - the cleaner version

you know when you have a dog, your phone is full of photos of him whether he doing something stupid, not stupid or even just sitting there and just because you think 'awwww so cute'  SNAP! i'm lucky my photographer accommodates me when i plop G onto the white perspex and go 'pleaseeeeeeee'. well G just had a clean and now you can see his face. isn't he just adorable??

i managed to get my photographer take a few shots of G while we were on shoot. he was quite good, got him to sit still and tilt his head but only for a while. clearly his hair is a mess so he will be going for a nice little groom soon. oh he's soooo cute!

there are days when i'm on shoot i get to jump in for some shots - i always wanted to be a model when i was younger but never quite grew into my ginormous feet. they say big feet are meant for tall people... clearly not as you can see how i'm pretty much two heads shorter than the mannequin. then there are days when i fool around with props in the studio like the wigs people leave lying around. my hair and make up artist puts it on me so well that many believe i changed my hairstyle o_O couple of days ago, i was pretty lucky i had an easy shoot coz i wasn't feeling up to it. two cups of coffee didn't help but we did manage wrap up the day fairly quickly. it is days like these i'm glad i'm out and not stuck sitting in the office.

oh and please excuse my last of updates... there's been plenty happening but i won't talk about it so i don't jinx anything.

all bright and colourful

it's another day, another shoot, another studio. it's always nice to be shooting for spring summer... the outfits are bright, vibrant and colourful. my models was awesome - one works as a paramedic on the side, another has her own online clothing business and the other is so healthy that she brings her own veggie box of snacks and apparently hasn't drank a soft drink in many years. the studio was pretty cool with random stuff hanging around the plae... there was this table which i took no notice of until i saw the joystick, looked over and saw space invaders! talk about old school.

and just like every shoot my feet were so sore by the end of the day, it pretty much killed it playing badminton later that night. i also left a really nice mark on my knee by smacking it with my racket. so hero.....

missing in action

 

over 600 styles shot in four days; the studio more my office than my desk and i can probably include the title - stylist/people dresser to my role which is the main cause for my hiatus on the blog. it's long exhausting days that ends with aching feet. however i have discovered that wearing a vest on shoot makes carrying clips a whole lot easier. and now the weekend feels a whole lot better when it arrives. i'm off to laze on this very gloomy day...

it's a two-in-one

it's been a very long day. a photoshoot and a tv shoot all in one. definitely something different..... can't wait to see the final cut and the amazing photos. we shot at a beautiful house in vaucluse and the owners had two snoodles who loved the attention as well as the sun. and now to hang with my babes..

from just taking test shots, to taking a few pictures. i think it's a girl thing where you just enjoy taking pictures. secretly wanting to be models but having no skills to go so. hahaha i think i'm on shoot way too often but it is a fun part of the job; especially when you have really nice models and fun people to work with. the shoot went by in a breeze and the day went by really quickly.

work is only as fun as the people you work with....

i had such an awesome time on my shoot and it's only because of these gorgeous ladies i got the chance to work with. it's always more fun when they are bubbly, happy and know how to joke around but obviously do what we need to do. it was such a long day - at the studio before 8am, heaps of outfit changes, fan off, fan on, pose pose pose pose... and then props. it was a super long day and these people just made the day pass by. i could tell that everyone was pretty exhausted by the end of the day but they all still managed a small. ali, sandra, thais, rani k (hair & make up) and daniel hill (our photographer), can't wait for our next shoot and this time i'll remember to bring plenty of lollies and candy to keep our sugar levels up!
