out with the old, IS250 with the new
my baby picked up his new baby 2 weekends ago and have been cruising all around town with this ginormous grin on his face. trying to drive it as much as he can (btw - i haven't even drove it yet) after waiting for almost 2 years he finally has the car he's had his eye on. and after much research, he had some mods added to it and it sounds damn ganas! (fierce).... ooooooo it has this low growl and when he revs.... it's fsport baby! the good thing about it when we're just cruising, it's not too loud especially when you are inside the car. not only that, it's totally legal and under warranty. now we no longer honk to catch our friend's attention... we just rev....vrrrrroooooommm! hehe

anniversary pancakes
we finally celebrated an anniversary. previously we had either realised too late or remembered a day or two too early and forgot on the day itself. we've accepted the fact that we have two anniversaries - the day we signed our papers and the day we announced it to the world. D's such a sweetheart, he sent me a text during work that made me smile to myself like an idiot and tonight, he made me pancakes for dinner...... honey, i'll love you long long time!

how time flies.......
a year ago today, D & i announced to the world that we were husband and wife. it was a very very long day, lots of laughter, picture taking and grinning from ear to ear. it was a major celebration for us and i wouldn't have had it any other way. if you're interested in finding out how the day went; click here.
we've been through so much since that big day and sometimes it seems so long ago; yet when you really think about it, it's actually only been a year. i love looking through our wedding album; and i think if i had more time, i'll watch the wedding video over and over again. now the confusing bit about our anniversaries is that we signed our papers on a different date and now we're not sure which to call our anniversary o_O

christmas shopping!
after my first week at work, i realised that i didn't have many dresses i could actually wear to work without tights. and of course wearing them with heels makes them look even shorter. so today i did a little christmas shopping and came home with another pair of shoes, some dresses and a new phone cover. merry christmas to me!!!

heavenly toblerone ricotta crepe
i've never really been a fan of desserts with cheese... yes, i don't like cheese cake! you can imagine how reluctant i was when i was told to try this while dining at il locale blu in mcmahons point. take a bite of the toblerone ricotta crepe and vanilla ice cream which by the way all melts in your mouth and i was in heaven.... ooo this is probably the only cheese dessert i'll enjoy. such a pity that the restaurant has been sold; however they do have a branch in haberfield but i don't know if it's exactly the same. as for the mains? i had a seafood pasta which was tasty but i would have preferred my food to be piping hot. if i ever crave for this dish again, i will definitely hunt down the restaurant in haberfield. just thinking about it makes my mouth water.... *drips saliva*

the slower you go the more likely you'll crash

at the shop, D test the suspension, took the bike out for a spin.... stopped, discussed it with the boys, took it for another ride, retested the suspension... on and on an on. even i had a go at it, obviously this bike was too big for me but i decided to take a ride anyway. that was phoooarrrrr ... either i'm getting old and overly paranoid that i would fall over or .... hmmm there's not other excuse really. and since i hadn't cycled in a long time, when i wanted to stand the bike, i was looking for a stand like the picture above which apparently no longer come on bikes!! hey, it's been a looooong time since i had a bicycle.
and yes, after all that D came home with a new bike. he was a little worried that it wouldn't fit into the boot and would end up having to buy a bike rack. it only fit if we took out both tyres. so now i'm on my own at home blogging while he's at the carpark with the boys playing with the bike -_-

the new company
from past experience, you would think the first week at a new job would be slow, easy and possibly boring. as you slowly learn the ropes, get adjusted to your new enviroment and understand your responsibilities. now my first day was anything but slow. starting at nine in the am (which is later than the ex-company so more sleep for me....yeay!) i met with hr who then showed me to the person i'm replacing.
it's nice to have a proper handover but it would be even better if i knew she would be around when i have questions or when i'm actually doing the job. she's heading off in a week for a month holidays!!! so this whole week is hardcore handover, a lot to digest and i'm kinda mentally exhausted..... did i mention it's only wednesday?
