the very unexpected surprise

i'm not very good at surprises; obviously this hasn't changed. so this year for my other half, i didn't do much planning until the very last minute... coz i do feel bad for not planning anything. all i told him was, we're having dinner the weekend after your birthday with some friends. there.. i've organised something. but what's the fun when there's not surprise? i decided to come home with a birthday banner, add some balloons, cook him something different for dinner and pretended i felt bad for not organising anything at all. prior to that i also ended up giving him a small surprise birthday present a day early (again) -_- but that's not the end of it...i had everyone come over to surprise him with a small cake session and boy was he surprised! hahaha actually it's only because i got lucky this birthday - he fell asleep on the couch which gave everyone a chance to sneak in and scream at him 'happy birthday!!!#$%#^#@#!' .. yes scream. it was a good thing no one was too close to him or it would be the first time someone got hurt during a birthday.

and just like always, at the end of the night, we're all hooked onto some new game someone has introduced us too and the worst bit? we're playing on our phones/ipads with the same people in to room o_O thanks everyone for coming though it wasn't really well planned and i'm sure you all enjoyed seeing D's very SHOCKED face.

another day... another cake...

D's parents had contacted a friend to buy him a surprise cake on their behalf since they weren't here to do it. there was a little miscommunication here and there but at the end of it all there was still a cake. it was meant on his birthday but we had badminton and dinner; it would have been too late for cake blowing. so instead we did it tonight. it looks like we'll be celebrating this birthday for a while *smile*

the early birthday dinner...

happy birthday sayang! and yes... every year you will always be two year younger than me. but i stopped counting since twenty five, so technically we're the same age; both twenty five no matter how many candles there are on the cake. *grin* since we play badminton on tuesdays, we celebrated his birthday the sunday before. dinner at pothong thai in newtown. apart from having difficulty find parking in the area, we had pretty good food. they had set up a little balloon arrangement on the table and added fruits & fire sparkles to the birthday cake and even had a small team of waiters sing him happy birthday. they also took pictures for us which they would email to the birthday boy. not bad.... with no extra charge they had really good service. it's just the starting of celebrations!

surprise party!

tonight jon organised a surprise birthday thing for germs... she's turning a quarter of a century old :p i had no idea what the plans were.... all i knew was that it was a surprised and we were meant to be there at 6pm (it's been ages since someone had such a big surprise party which kinda jadi-ed).



we were there early so we spend time sitting around and chilling.... i was just hungry and waiting to eat >.<



ping & leanne were the two that had to keep her out of the house till 6:30... apparently they were not very good lying coz she became pretty suspicious after a while >.< hahaha they were arguing about who stole who's line when they got into the house.



whether she was surprised or not, i'm not too sure. all i know is i failed at the popper thing coz i couldn't twist mine right. -_- bad shapes!



so sweet, he baked the cake himself and had some help cooking all the food. and she blew the cake before making the wish o_O





happy early birthday Germs.... you are about to be a quarter of a century old soon. hope you have an awesome one on the real day.

it's not gay, it's BROmance ... boys -_- your birthday cake was awesome thanks to these ladies....



and the venue was at our very own neighbour's place :D soooo convenient hor?? especially when you needed random stuff.. hehehe
