christmas bbq on the park

gizmo met a new friend today - mosby. a super cute mini schnauzer where half the time you're trying to find his eyes. we ran late as usual for the christmas bbq (as per previous post).... but it also meant we got there in time to eat *grin* there weren't all that much food to cook since we had prepared plenty. the weather turned out to be really good considering when we woke up it was so cloudy we were worried it was going to rain. the dogs were having an awesome time playing, the girls were chatting and soaking up some vitamin d, the boys were playing with the frizbee and we playing our silly kris kringle game. christmas is almost here and we'll be on holidays again! yeay....

another day, another christmas party. this time we got there late but of course had ask them to start without us, had heaps of prawns, way tooooooooo many mugs and gifts from typo for kris kringle, played cranium and again i still can't spell and apparently i'm not the only one! met someone i hadn't seen in ages (small world), came home with an unexpected christmas present and a very belated birthday present... it was a pretty nice relaxing christmas luncheon. thanks G & J for hosting; and new rules from kris kringle, NO MUGS! NO GIFTS FROM TYPO and we really have to up the budget next time.

for this christmas party; D & i lost track of time, started cooking only when our guests arrived, feasted, drank, played evil kirs kringle, someone won $9 on scratchies, teamed up to play craniumn, laughed and screamed so much i almost lost my voice, found out we had no idea who ian mckellar was until we googled him (he's magnito from x-men btw), realised i still can't spell what more backwards, didn't get a chance to play charades but had an awesome awesome christmas bbq. this is how the festive season should be celebrated *heart*

christmas party #1

our first christmas thing this year was a housewarming/christmas party. some friends had moved into the apartments just behind our building and all we had to do was bring our kris kringle gifts and ourselves. living the closest, we were pretty much the last to get there >_< isn't that always the case. oh it was such fun night. heaps of food, lots of talking, very loud laughter and awesome homemade dessert. one down.... couple more to go!

with christmas around the corner and the many secret santa/kris kringles we'll be having, we dedicated today to shop for all these items. i never realised how difficult it was to actually buy decent, practical, nice presents at a low budget and its never fun receiving food stuff so we never buy chocolates or sweet. where's the creativity in that? while shopping we ended up shopping for each other and D bought me a new charm for my bracelet. can you tell what it represents???
