no such thing

i completely failed gettind D's birthday present this year. not only did he pick his own gift, he ended up buying it too -_- trust me, it's not that i didn't try. i left work one morning, rush to the store in the casino where we first saw it only to find it closed. i was lucky enough to be able to speak to the lady through the glass doors, not so lucky when she told me 'no such thing' o_O then J was kind enough to offer to look for it since he was in the city but since i could not find a picture online and i could only attempt to explain it. he didn't know which one but went to look anyway. the week before D's birthday, Gucci finally posts something similar on their site so J goes again to find it. the lady tell him 'no such thing'. that's it, we're screwed. his birthday came and went and i told D, we can't find it; they say there is 'no such thing'. could it be we saw something else?? did i imagine seeing it?? 

there was one store however that i didn't go to. it was the one closest to D's office and today he decided he would drop by the store and have a look. low and behold it's there @#%#@#%& basket... so to save me the hassle of going down to the city, he buys it himself. *sigh* on the bright side, he likes his gift.... just didn't think he had to buy it himself first.

two surprises and a turkey

i turned a year older, got two surprises from the same bunch of people and had a giant turkey dinner. what more could i ask for? all i had plan was a buffet dinner at the star (previously known as starcity) and some gambling; hoping the birthday luck would rub off on my friends. unfortunately it didn't quite turn out that way -_- i did however get 2 birthday cakes (my blackforrest cake i had requested for), a thomas sabo charm, a customised coke can with my name on it... specially made coke birthday card just for me and the best of it all.... the chanel earrings i was eyeing for a while now and they topped it off with a matching pendant! i have an awesome husband and fabulous friends.. *feeling the love* oh and the turkey was super huge and very well cooked. it was such an amazing weekend.

a very .... very belated birthday present

when she had ask me my postal address, i had given her my work add so i didn't have to pick it up from the post office. then i got the text telling me that i might need to still head to the post office coz she sent it via registered. i was thinking to myself... oh nooo (and i'm not trying to be difficult) but it's actually quite hard since they open after i start work and close before i end. thank goodness the receptionist could sign for it. when i saw her name as the sender i pretty much ripped it open and pulled out this box. and even though the price tag was left on the gift it's still sooo pretty and shiny..... *sparkle*sparkle* thanks babes!!

christmas party #3

another day, another christmas party. this time we got there late but of course had ask them to start without us, had heaps of prawns, way tooooooooo many mugs and gifts from typo for kris kringle, played cranium and again i still can't spell and apparently i'm not the only one! met someone i hadn't seen in ages (small world), came home with an unexpected christmas present and a very belated birthday present... it was a pretty nice relaxing christmas luncheon. thanks G & J for hosting; and new rules from kris kringle, NO MUGS! NO GIFTS FROM TYPO and we really have to up the budget next time.

ok ok... this is the final post about my birthday this year.. hahaha i finally received my ver belated birthday pressie from D. we held off any unnecessary spending .... you know just in case. so now that everything is fine and dandy, he got me a marcs bag (not actually for my birthday) and a thomas sabo charm bracelet with some charms....
