cj hawker food night

apart from family and friends,  malaysian food is one thing i will always miss. lucky enough, we actually know people who can cook it so well, it even smells like a restaurant in malaysia when walking into him home. this round CJ made nasi lemak, sambal with fried chicken as well as his famous curry chicken (all ingredients are from scratch!), cucur udang which should be eaten hot and fresh, hokkien noddles and wa tan hor which is to die for.... we even got to tapau (takeaway) so that we could enjoy it again the next day. omg just looking at the pictures are making me hungry again *slurppp*

note: pictures all stolen from audy as i was too hungry when i smelt the food and completely forgot to take any pictures. thanks audy!

makan makan

this is jeremy, a friend's nephew. when i first met him, he had this stressed out frown on his face which was really cute. the poor boy gave us a look that said "what's wrong with you" when we were all trying to make him smile. he did eventually lighten up at the end of the day and was adorable laughing and running around chasing a balloon which we were extremely worried he would burst.

we were invited to a food thing a month ago but completely forgot to rsvp. luckily enough they did manage to slot us in or we would have missed uhhh mazzz iiinggg nasi lemak, roti canai and char kuey teow! you can tell from the pics that i was too busy eating to actually take a pic of the meal >_< and of course like it normally does, my camera ran out of battery and i ended up having to use my iphone cam. when they started cooking the char kuey teow, everyone hurdled around as if the food would cook faster with them around. :)
