good times, great days
wherever you work, it's always the people that makes the biggest difference and although it was only about 2 years working together, we shared stories, interests, good and bad times together. on my last day at the ex-company, the online shoot was happening and we decided to join in for some fun. i have this huge grin on my face whenever i see these pictures, they remind me of all the fun we had working together. how she's so much taller than me, so much that she can rest her head on mine and even when i'm in heels, the many posses we make taking pictures and the amount of laughter that we had. oh such good times we had and hope that there is many more to come!!!

today is the last day of weekday freedom for me... booo. good news is that i found a job and i start next week. yeay me! thanks to everyone who kept their fingers/toes crossed and wished me luck and of coz god too since i kept calling out to him when i was having panic attacks that i was jobless -_-
so moving on....today i thought i'd visit the new westfield sydney, take a walk around the city and noticed an annual market at town hall. of course i detoured and came across all these goodies.
being the good girl i am... i only came home with this.... it's sooooooo cute and pretty :) i wanted to buy more but i've already ordered stuff from asos coz they had free shipping worldwide *smacks head* spends money before making it is not a good thing... tsk tsk tsk
but how can i resist this???

midnight launch gt5
after much confusion about "hp7" and "bj", we did end up watching hp7 @ bj which was of course harry potter 7 at bondi junction..... it was a good movie even though i missed out the one before this. i had a chance to watch it on the plane but fell asleep >_< well, i've read the books so wasn't too confused.
as we were heading home we noticed that supacenta was filled with cars and the lights were still on. and being 8 (nosy) as we were, we detoured and stopped by only to find out it was the midnight launch of GT5 at harvey norman. i can't say that they did a great job..... they underestimated the amount of people who would show up and although i think they could have gone with a better system. if we could, we would have walked home with 4 copies but we only came home with this..
a cool red ps3 controller!!

summer feet
i'm a sucker for bargains... especially when it comes to shoes. we were just going to pick up some groceries when a "BUY 2 for $50" sign at novo caught my eye. that's pretty cheap and of course i dragged D there. 10 mins later, i walked out with 2 pairs of sandals; if there wasn't only 1 lady in the store i would have been done in 5. woo hoo.... all set for the hot weather!
new blog page
so what do you think of the new page??? darling steph was sweet enough to help me with the banner since i can't draw for nuts. you can't say i didn't try....
the sitting elephant came to me very randomly one morning while i was in bed. i've always had a liking for elephants - the calm giants. it was just cute and tadah.... the sitting elephant. i don't think it actually connects to anything else though.

D's new hobby at the moment are bikes. he's been busy researching for a bike of his own but holding off from buying one until our circumstances are better; so he just buys the accessories -_- we checked out this bike shop at fox studios which carried the brand of the bike he wanted. i of course wasn't quite so interested so i was roaming around and i spotted this! maybe i should just add it onto D's bike ^_^ then i can go along to his rides. imagine going off trail sitting behind him..... i'll probably jump off! haha

food: clems
alex and JD have been telling us about this awesome chicken place call clems at newtown. it's not the kinda place you order and have a sit in dinner, it probably more comfortable to tapau (takeaway) and eat in the comfort of your own home. last weekend, we finally have a chance to try it and ooooooo it was yummy. it wasn't of course only the fact that we were starving since it was almost 10pm but i swear the fried chicken was as good as kfc!!
we had left the order to alex & justin and talk about overkill, plenty of fried chicken, roast chicken, mushrooms and potatoes, egg salad, potato salad and seafood salad. they also gave us a cold sandwich and some extra buns. we had so much leftover that we had it for lunch and still have extras for dinner. oh but it was sooo good so... we are having it again tonight for dinner!! can't wait....^_^

butterflies in my tummy
it's 6am right now, i'm been up since 530am. why?? i'm feeling anxious... VERY. and no it's not coz i'm preggers like everyone seems to automatically jump to when i put up a status update to say i'm nervous. i remember the day i stopped working, all i did was send my cv out for job applications continously. i did get some calls back, lots of rejections but have been lucky enough to score interviews with a couple of fashion brands. i have a 2nd interview later today and have been having dreams all night about the interview. nothing good, nothing bad but the butterflies in my tummy is keeping me awake.....then again maybe it's the chocolate cake i ate last night >.< wish me luck!
that's life
ahhhh life. things take a turn when you never expect it. for those who don't know, i got retrenched. who would have thought. it's quite depressing really. affecting me is not such a bad thing as i can deal with it but it affects D too. i mean it's not the end of the world, it's just bad timing.
for a while now D has been eyeing a car he's been wanting but of course we bought a new place, had to pay for our wedding and it wasn't the right time. thinking that's it's been some time, everything's more settle, the house it sorted, the wedding is done it is a good time to get that car he has wanted for a while. so after looking at the same car for a year, we finally headed to the dealers, told them what we wanted and ask them to hunt it down for us. "not a problem" they said. the very next day, i was told that my postition had been made redundant o_O ish! fine.... nevermind. 2 days later, the dealer calls to say that they have found what we wanted -_- wahlauz damn fast. then again, they always had very good service.
you see, if i had been told a day before ... we hadn't had gone to the dealers and wouldn't be soooo close to getting the car D wants. oh and of course we wouldn't have put our car up for sale too. it's not that we can't afford it. *fingers crossed* i will find a job soon... very soon i hope (getting stressed out that i'm not working) but we don't really want to commit into something without my steady income. i just feel terrible coz if it weren't for me ... we would have got the car. D has told me not to worry about it, it's not my fault, it's only a car after all and waiting a while more won't kill us. so sweet...
but i still can't help but feel it is.... i'm job hunting now, all recruitment sites are my best friends and waiting to hear some good news; keeping my fingers and toes crossed that something comes along before christmas so my migraine from the stress will go away, so i don't wake up with that OMG feeling in my tummy everyday and we can get on doing what we want to do without worrying. boooo this sucks *sulk*

the many sleeps of G
i swear G is the piggy-est dog i know. he wakes me up in the morning just to get me out of bed just so i would feed him then he'll go back to sleep. and coz he likes to be close and isn't allowed on the bed, he would sigh, make small whines by the side of the bed till i'm up, get me out of bed only for him to sleep next to me on the sofa. silly boy.... after realising how many pics i take of him sleeping, look at that!@#$! and that's just a handful of pics from my phone. the boy sleeps so kang kang (legs wide open).....haihzzzz... no shame.... no shame.. *shakes head*

birthday fun part 2.
i had 2 cakes this time. they had bought me the most delicious rich tempered soft white chocolate cake from guylian and oooooo it just melts in your mouth. it was so soft the candles wouldn't stand straight on it. poor clara had to hold the candles until the boys finally came to the table. it did stay up long enough for the to sing me a song :)
it was a pretty easy going day. slept in as we normally do on weekends, ate lunch and we headed to test drive a car D wanted. yes.. it's almost as if he was buying me a car for my birthday. hehehe
we went to home thai for dinner and the food was absolutely yummy. the pork dish we ordered was.... omg so good, it was so good we ordered TWO! oh and i think we ordered almost every dessert on the menu. the cool part about the place? they use ipads when they place your orders and have LV pouches to hold them in. we were like o_O !! we also had this bunch of people sitting next to our table that kept eyeing our food. in fact they actually tapped clara on the shoulder to ask her what the dishes we ordered were. we didn't really mind it but it was kinda uncomfortable that they kept staring at our table and POINTING. tsk.tsk. so we thought get them to take a group picture for us since we've been so nice. we ended up having to do the same for them -_-
it was after cake cutting where the craziness began. we finally had a chance to play our lego pictionary since we were in a group. it was me, D & clara in a team and alex, jd & justin in another. we did cheat a lil considering we were making stupid sounds to explain what we were trying to build. we laughed until our jaws hurt, realised that alex and jd are on the same wave length and justin created a way for us to identify how to build animals :D i can't believe we were up pretty much all night and had mackers breakkie before heading to bed at 6am. i definitely haven't done this in a while.....
thanks for all the birthday fun! please come back and help finish the cakessssss......
xoxo

older and hopefully wiser..
gone are the days where we partied our birthdays away... actually those days were gone ages ago -_- now it's the many birthday dinners to catch up with friends that you no longer see as often as you should. instead of dreading the turning a year older (maybe coz i think i'm still young.... or actually just forget how old i am - signs of old age o_O), i enjoy the love everyone shares by wishing you be it through phone calls, facebook messages or emails.. oh and the very random cards.
grace took me to this really nice japanese restaurant at crow's nest called sakana-ya which translates to "fish monger". the fish she ordered melts in your mouth. it's a really nice little restaurant, cosy and it felt like the both of us were really loud >.< we were so engrossed in our conversation, we didn't notice that it was getting late.
D had picked up lilBro with a cake and we were just chilling till midnight. the next thing you know, kei arrives in his masterchef outfit (after work), leanne pops up with the rest of the boys and it will a really nice cake blowing session with ginormous "2" & "8" candles. so much for keeping my age a secret! .... lilBro so cute - instead of buying me a gift, he had homemade muachi for me. :D i'm soooo blessed.
round 2 tomorrow!
